Over 28 years, Living Pictures has produced an impressive body of work that includes a wide range of independent documentaries and factual television series based on social themes, innovation and the natural environment.
David and Sue Flatman were among the first to produce “lifestyle” TV programs in Australia with series for the ABC such as “The Home Show” and “Great Ideas”.
Their observational films have been widely used by Australian tertiary institutions, human services departments and police in training programs for people working with family issues. Officers and workers learning to deal with people from violent backgrounds have had valuable training in the form of powerful, reality-based films produced by Living Pictures. These films have been broadcast to critical acclaim on national television and received award recognition.
